I’m Mariana Gomes
I’m Mariana Gomes, a Bay Area - CA based, Brazilian woman fascinated about the power of knowledge. Since a very young age I learned that information is the key to happy independence. After going through a Biology Degree, I decided to start a new chapter of my life, so I came to the USA as an Au Pair.
Working in the Children Care world built on me a passion for child development and parent education. With that in mind, I decided to start to study more about these topics.

This is when I found the Newborn Care Specialist career and fell in love with it. After 4 years as a full time children care provider, I transitioned to this area to specialize myself and focus on newborn care.
I did not stop right there, but all this path in my career life made me realize that I would love to learn even more, so I decided to apply to Nursing School. Right now I’m just at the beginning of this incredible journey that will make me even more capable to help parents and newborns.
Being a Newborn Care Specialist always gets me thinking about this new life, this new baby who is a complete human being, that since his birth is already changing the world into a better place. I also think a lot about the parents, who have so much on their plate, but are open to do whatever it takes to give the best to their little one. All that love is what keeps me motivated to give the best of myself to teach and care for this new family that just got bigger.
I know that having a baby can bring significant changes in the life of a person and big challenges during the maternity/paternity journey. My work consists in giving the support you need with your new baby by educating you about newborn care, safe sleep practices, good baby habits, and staying aware to ensure your child is growing to be healthy, happy, and independent.
Lastly, but equally important, I’m CPR and First Aid Certified and all my vaccines are UP-TO-DATE. So you do not need to worry about a thing.
